Pursuant to the Alaska Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
I request all relevant reports regarding the the Accu-Vote counting program including but not limited to: (1) the state ballot counting review board's certification of the initial logic and accuracy test of the Accu-Vote counting program and memory cards; (2) the regional Accu-Vote review board or Accu-Vote coordinator's reports verifying the logic and accuracy test of the Accu-Vote counting program and preparing the memory cards for election use; (3) the election board certification that the precinct tabulator prints a zero totals report; (4) the regional Accu-Vote review board's totals reports.
I also request any other reports or documents submitted by the director, the review board, or Accu-Vote coordinator.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Ms. Sitrin,
Upon further research following your request I have found out the following:
1. The earliest I will be able to access the records due to the State Library Archives and Museum building construction is in October.
2. Some of the records you are asking for no longer exist. These are the records for 2008 and 2010. They have been destroyed per our records and retention schedule.
I would ask you to consider modifying your request and indicate in writing to me that you can:
1. Wait until October for what we have; and
2. Withdraw the part of the request that covers records that no longer exist.
I would also appreciate clarification as to what elections you are requesting these records:
1. State Primary elections
2. State general elections
3. Both

Hi Gail,
Thank you again for your response. In light of the circumstances, I would like to modify my request:
I request all of the above mentioned Accu-vote records for the state general elections from the year 2012. I also ask for any memos, reports, or logs from poll workers on-site in Anchorage during the 2012 state general election.

I wanted to send you an update on this public records request that you had submitted to the previous Director, Gail Fenumiai. I am currently working on identifying the costs associated with this request, per your email to Gail before I begin retrieving records and copying the documents you requested.
In your last correspondence with Gail, you had agreed to the extension of October 2015 when access to archived records should be available. I will also update you on the availability of those records when I send the estimated costs to you and may request an extension at that time depending on how you'd like to proceed.
One clarification I'd like to make is in your request, which states, " I request all relevant reports regarding the Accu-Vote counting program" does this part of your request refer to election result reports? If so, those can be found on our web site at http://www.elections.alaska.gov/ei_return_2012_GENR.php.
