Mr. Sparks: I have received your request for "All internal economic studies produced between January 1, 2010 and the present concerning any of Alaska's Mega Projects."

The description of the records you are seeking is not specific enough to allow me to identify any records that would be considered responsive, and I cannot process your request until clarifying information is received.

The Office of Budget and Management falls under the Office of the Governor and I am the records custodian for the Office of the Governor. Please feel free to email me directly, or call me to discuss more specific details. I will wait to hear from you before taking any further action on this request.

Thank you for your response. In order to clarify the documents I seek, I am looking for economic studies for the following projects, which the state of Alaska considers as "mega-projects."

1. The Ambler road
2. The Juneau access road
3. The Susitna-Watana Dam
4. Kodiak Launch Complex
5. Knik Arm Crossing
6. Alaska Stand-Alone Pipeline Project

Please let me know if your office needs any further clarification.

Thank you,

Brian Sparks

Mr. Sparks, I did receive your voice mail and I called and left a voice mail. I have other questions in addition to specifying your definition of mega projects. I think it would be helpful if we are able to have a conversation and can quickly get to what I may need in order to begin the process.

Today is Thursday, 10/22. I am in the office only until 11:45 today, but I will be in the office tomorrow all day, 8 to 4:30 Alaska time.

To It May Concern:

This is a nearly eight year old request, and if you look at what you sent, it’s very clear that I did respond on October 29, 2015 and that further clarification was required which I did not receive.

This request is unable to be processed due to non-specificity.
