Good Afternoon Mr. Lipton,

Pursuant to California Government Code section 6253(c), we write in response to the inquiry that you made to the Alameda County Sheriff's Office under the California
Public Records Act, which we received today, December 19, 2016. We note that the Requests are limited only to records in our custody and control.

After doing research the Alameda County Sheriff's Office does not own a program designed to access information from social media or for network investigative software.

We have been approached by companies who would like to present us their software and I have included copies of those emails as well as documents we were sent.

Kind regards,
