To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Florida Sunshine Law, I hereby request the following records:
- Any complaints reported against Alachua Sheriff deputies assigned as school resource officers between Jan. 1, 2009 and Nov. 1, 2019.
- Any records of disciplinary actions taken against Alachua SROs during the above-mentioned time period.
- Any spreadsheets, logs, or other records tracking misconduct lawsuits against Alachua SROs during the above-mentioned time period.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Good morning CJ Ciaramella,
In response to your request for complaints and disciplinary actions against School Resource Deputies (SRD), the type of records you are requesting are not tracked by job assignment. As for the request for lawsuits against SRD's, our Legal Advisor provided we have not had any lawsuits against any of our SRD's, thus there are no records responsive to your request.
Please advise if you would like to revise your request so that we may assist you further.
