Mr. Spies:
I am responding on behalf of District Attorney Mike O'Dell to your letter dated May 19, 2017. Your letter requests "records" of "Stand Your Ground" motions filed by defendants in our circuit since January 1, 2006. In Alabama, court records are maintained by the local circuit clerk's office. The central office to contact if you wish to speak to a representative of the entire Alabama judicial system is the Administrative Office of Courts. Information about AOC can be found at http://www.alacourt.gov/
Thank you for your interest in our justice system and good luck with your search.
Bob Johnston, DDA
