To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Alabama Public Records , I hereby request the following records:

Mary Faye Hunter was murdered in Decatur, Alabama on May 6, 1967. I am requesting that all information pertaining to her case be released to me. I am a distant cousin and amateur sleuth. During my own independent investigation into Miss Hunter’s murder, I have discovered a lot of information that needs to be compared to the facts of the case. Because this case is deemed inactive and over 50 years old, I see no reason why my request should be declined. There have been former law enforcement officers who say that Miss Hunter's case files and evidence has been lost. If that is not true, I would like proof in a redacted version.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days.

Sincerely,

Bradley A. Golson
