To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to Alabama's Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of Auburn University's Athletic Department contract with Event Operations Group, Inc. regarding football player curfews and all e-mail correspondence between the athletic department and Event Operations Group regarding player curfews.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.

Sincerely,

Carlton Purvis

Mr. Purvis,
I am in receipt of your request. We do have a fee policy for open records requests and am attaching it for your approval. I do not know at this time how many pages your search will produce or how many hours it will take to provide the documents you requested. Upon your approval, I will begin gathering and reviewing the documents.

Cassie, thanks for getting in touch. Let’s go ahead with the request, but I’d like to amend the request to read:

“a copy of Auburn University's Athletic Department contract with Event Operations Group, Inc. regarding football player curfews and all e-mail correspondence between the athletic department and Event Operations Group regarding player curfews sent or received *within one month of the date the contract was signed*.

Thanks,

Carlton

I wanted to follow up on the following Freedom of Information request, copied below, and originally submitted on Nov. 10, 2012. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response, or if further clarification is needed.

Thank you for your help.

Carlton,
What are the dates of search for the email correspondence? EOG is under contract for many services provided to Auburn Athletic events.

From: Carlton Purvis

Cassie,

Thanks for the update. I'm only requesting e-mails produced or received one month before and after the day the specific agreement related to curfew is dated that contain the keyword "curfew."

Thanks,

Carlton

I don't have an estimated date of completion. Through the review of the first 1,100 emails of potential accounts to have documents relating to your request, only one pertaining has been found. There are about 9,000 more I plan to review. The contract that exists between Auburn Athletics and EOG is a general services agreement and does not have specific language to your request.

As of now, I have pulled the general contract and one email that would fulfill your request.

Attached is the invoice for your request for the general services contract between Auburn Athletics and EOG. I did not invoice for the time spent reviewing email correspondence, which did not produce any documents regarding Auburn football curfews.

Hi Cassie,

So am I correct in thinking that curfew enforcement was never put in writing?
