To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to Alabama's Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of all arrest records and incident reports in which an officer asked for documentation as to the civilian's status in the country under HB 56. Because this law was implemented in Sept. 2011, the search for documents may be limited to the period from Sept. 2011 to the present.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is not being made for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I would request your response within ten (10) business days.

Sincerely,

Alex Richardson

Sir,
I have reviewed our files and can not find any cases where an officer has asked for a persons citizenship status under HB 56.
