Help cover the request fees needed to free these docs! The Aaron Swartz Day Police Surveillance Project wanted to track the marketing efforts and potential spread of the surveillance planes recently flown over Baltimore. We filed proactive requests with 15 American cities that matched the profile of large Black populations using the spec names of Persistent Surveillance Systems trademarked equipment and got a hit in Kansas City with over 160 emails. And a $304 bill to see them. We’ve notified the local paper and no response so far, but we think the residents of Kansas City deserve to see these emails and to see what the City is apparently planning. If enough people agree to kick in a few dollars, they will. We have the ability to publicize the materials. If we can crowdfund half the fee, we are willing to bear the other half. Thanks for any help you can provide.
