Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any and all records from the past year regarding your nuisance property ordinance that will be referred to as ordinance in this request but could be known (but not limited to) as Just Cause Evictions Ordinance as described in Sec. 8-1994 of the city code.
Please provide any and all written records (including but not limited to hard-copy documents, memos, emails, word processor documents, PDF documents, PowerPoint files, images files, video files etc.) regarding the Ordinance including but not limited to:
• police calls, reports, citations, or arrests, collected by the municipality police department for the purpose of enforcing the ordinance
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

The City is in receipt of your request, however section Sec. 8-1994 is no longer in the municipal code. Please provide clarification, are you possibly referring to "Division 3. - Registration and Maintenance of Abandoned, Vacant and/or Defaulted Mortgage Properties" or to "Article XIX. - Rent Stabilization and Just Cause Eviction Ordinance"?
Also, please provide a date range for the records you are request.
Upon the receipt of your clarification the City will respond to your request within ten days.

Apologies for the miscommunication. I am referring to Article XIX. - Rent Stabilization and Just Cause Eviction Ordinance for the past year (April 2023-April 2024). I am specifically requesting information on police calls, reports, citations, or arrests in response to the criminal activity clause of Article XIX. Please let me know if you need any more information to fulfill this request.

SAPD does not track or code calls for service by the specified municipal code.
We have no responsive documents for arrest reports under the specified municipal code.
Police reports are not subject to public release pursuant to Government Code 7923.600(a).
Under the Public Records Act, a public agency is not required to construct a public record where one does not already exist.
